Writing Update

So! Update!

I finished the second draft of my novel! I added just barely under 15k this time, which takes it to a nice solid 84k and change. I've been on this stage since....the 27th of April. So that was in 47 days. I was faster than the first draft - worked out to 353 words a day instead of two hundred and something. I didn't think I was going to, but for the last three weeks I really focused and tried to beat myself.

I'm not sure it's right yet, but it's closer than it was. I scoped out publishers a few weeks ago but I didn't take notes so now I can't remember any of the ones I earmarked...but if it's not too soon to be saying this, I'm thinking of mainly focusing on small presses because it's a little bit of an out there creature (no heterosexuals) and I feel like that's a better bet.

I can't believe I've done this.

I started the novel on the 9th of May 2018. I started writing seriously on the 2nd of January 2019. I finished the first draft on the 13th of September. I didn't do the edits as fast as I wanted, but I did them. I finished those on the 13th of June 2020.
