Do you tend any altars? Care to share anything about them?

I used to, when I lived in university halls, although how far it can be counted as an altar I don't know - I just kept a peace lily and used it as a way to give offerings every night before I went to sleep. Where I am now I don't really have the opportunity, though I still keep the same peace lily - I just can't be as ritualistic about it as I used to be. I do like the concept of mini travel altars, and I'd like to see about putting one together this year.

Do you give offerings? Care to share anything about them? Alternatively (or in addition), what value do you see in offerings? What is their purpose?

Sometimes, yes. Not as often as I used to or would like to. Usually they take the form of libations, and quite frequently I will invite the gods to share in my morning coffee. I see offerings as an acknowledgement of the gods, and an acknowledgement of their place in your life. I tend to consume my offerings, because of my circumstances, and I see them as...offerings of energy, perhaps, more than the specific item, if that makes sense, and my consuming the offering is just another way of disposing of it. I also don't really see a line between offerings and devotional acts within my own practice, as they're all expressions of acknowledgement or appreciation (for me), so my listening to my devotional playlists or dedicating my work to a particular god is all part of the same thing.
