I did my yuletide sign up!
I should be working and I'm not BUT i did do my yuletide sign up. ahhh?? agghh. I've offered for a Certain BBC Comedy Show Who Will Go Unnamed, and I kept being like "should I say any or specify?? I don't wanna not write for [show] just because I didn't include certain characters but also I'm not super into the major ships and I wanted to avoid getting stuck with 'em......
Also I feel a bit ridiculous bc I put a bucket offer on and the faq says this is Advanced Mode but to be fair to me all those fandoms apart from two had just 1-2 nominated characters so that doesn't seem too bad?
Oh, one thing: are we actually allowed to say what we're offering on our journals or is that Frowned Upon?

Generally speaking, people don't talk about what they're offering? This is mostly because it runs the risk of breaking anonymity if someone happens across you mentioning that you're offering X fandom, especially if there's only one or two other people who offer it. Not talking about what you offer helps add a screen of plausible deniability, at least.
(I've had various conversations with folk about like "Yeah I tend to request and offer the same things" or "I like mixing it up so that I don't request/offer the same things", and when you do exchanges a lot people end up with a pretty solid sense of "Oh, Y is almost certainly offering Z, I know they do that all the time.")
Also, congrats on signing up for Yuletide! :D

There is not a chance in hell that I'll get around to actively looking at letters etc until near the end of sign-ups, because I know myself and that for me doing one focused sweep is a lot more fun than keeping up with it as signups are ongoing.
